As we step into 2026, I just want to pause and say thank you. Thank you for choosing Deserving of Joy: Direct Primary Care and trusting me with your care.  Thank you for saying yes to a different kind of healthcare that is thoughtful, personal, and rooted in relationships.

This year holds so much possibility. Not because of dramatic resolutions or extreme overhauls, but because of small, sustainable choices made with intention and self-compassion.

What health really looks like in 2026

At Deserving of Joy, we’re not chasing crash diets, punishing workout plans, or perfection. Those approaches rarely work long-term and they often steal joy rather than build health.

Instead, this year we’ll focus on:

  • Movement that feels good: daily, enjoyable activity that supports your body

  • Strength and mobility: to help you feel capable and resilient as you move through life

  • Restorative sleep: because everything works better when you’re well-rested

  • Mental health and emotional wellbeing: tending to the whole person, not just symptoms

  • Nourishment: adding in real fruits and vegetables, without cutting out entire food groups
