My Why

Hi there!  And welcome to the Deserving of Joy Newsletter!  A place to educate, inform and establish community.

Before I tell you anything more about my new practice, I want to tell you why I built it, because the “why” matters more than the walls, the website, or even the services.

For years, I loved being a family doctor… but I hated the way the system kept pulling me away from the parts of medicine that mattered most. The rushed visits. The battles with insurance. The endless coding requirements. The inability to sit with you, listen, think, and truly care, the way you deserve.

Somewhere along the way, healthcare stopped being about people. And that broke my heart.

I became a physician because I believe every person is deserving of time, dignity, access, and joy, especially when they’re vulnerable. I believe medicine works best when doctors are allowed to be human, and patients are treated as whole people rather than problems to solve or boxes to check.

Direct Primary Care allows me to practice medicine the way I was trained to, thoughtfully, thoroughly, compassionately, without the interference of middlemen.

This practice was built so I can take the time to hear your story. So I can be available when you need me. So that your care is proactive instead of crisis-driven. And so you never have to worry about surprise bills or five-minute visits again.

This isn’t just a clinic. It is my promise to you.
